This could not be more true.  Even though traditional advertising has created this idealistic creation of what beauty really is, it is only those that go against this traditional approach that are truly beautiful.  How many times have you met a “beautiful” girl who can’t even talk to you for more than 5 minutes because she has nothing intelligent to say.   As I’ve said before…Hollywood does jade many people, however those that stay true to their morals are even more attractive, to me at least.  I recently read an article on Megan Fox from the movie Transformers.  Granted when I saw the movie, I thought “this girl is beautiful” physically of course…I mean she is an actress.  But after reading the article, I feel like she actually is a good person who isn’t just the typical LA/Hollywood girl.  I have been to Hollywood before and know what the lifestyle is like out there and still have many friends that live out there…but this is the type of person that sticks to her morals in a very difficult environment and i respect that.  If Megan reads this…I’m thinking about getting a tattoo…you might hear about it soon.   Its just going to be a marketing experience, but if you’re a fan of my blog, please take a look at it at the very least.  I will post the link later.  Anyway…whatever you think is beautiful is beautiful to you…don’t conform to other people’s beliefs.  I’ve only read one article of an interview with Megan Fox and was honestly intrigued.  I’d be impressed if she actually was the person that she presents in that interview and I would like to meet her.  I’m going to take my own steps to try to make that happen, but if anyone knows her personally (obviously doubt it…?) I’d appreciate it.  Oh and by the way… Sir Thomas Overbury may have originally started this in 1613, but beauty is only skin deep.  A physically beautiful girl can only use her looks as a crutch for so long.  Look for the girl that has more to offer than just her looks because looks fade, but a strong personality lasts forever.  Joyeux Noel if I don’t write again before then as I will be on vacation for a while.

One of my friends told me this quote from a kid he knew who used to play lacrosse.  He told me to look up what it was in reference to and it completely makes sense.  I don’t want to get too in depth about it as I’m a little tipsy with a girl in my room, but felt like I needed to post this quote.  If you think about it…the now is what defines your future.  Think about where you want to be and then think about the steps you need to take to get there.  That is what really matters.  Be selfish…think about what you really, REALLY want in life and then work your way back.  START NOW and you will achieve your dream future.  Good luck.

This quote could not be more true.  Think about how many people are out there that have the power to change the world, but do nothing about it.  Then there are the others.  The celebrities that are willing to change the world for the better.  The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  When Hayden Panettiere (spelling?) went out to Tiji, Japan to save the dolphins or that punk’d episode where she stood up for her mother.  How Mandy Moore stuck to her morals while her closest competitors (if you want to call them that) Britney Spears and Cristina Aguilera were getting increasingly more sexual.  These are the people that make a difference for the better in the world.  That is why I have always been more attracted to people who stick up for what they believe in.  Its great if you have beliefs…but what truly matters is if you stick to them.  For all you guys out there…you don’t have to hide your true self.  You’re better than you think you are because you’re unique.  And the girls…stop playing stupid games.  If you keep playing them, the perfect one out there may just pass you by.  Live life to it fullest and never have any regrets.  Like I’ve said before…mistakes are merely the idiots way of looking at learning possibilities.  Good night and good luck.

So many people out there are living in the past.  Granted the past has created who you are today, however, it shouldn’t prevent you from changing your future.  How many times have you not told someone how you really feel about them because you think about how you got rejected in the past and how much it hurts?  Focus on the now and you will be happier in the future.  Because the now can be changed, the future can be changed, but the past is fixed.  It happened and its over.  If you feel like you made a mistake, then learn from that mistake so its not made again.  Only by learning from your mistakes will you grow.

People watch shows like The Fabulous Life of and Cribs and think, “I want that” or “why not me.” Its very easy, get out there and do it. If you don’t think you’re smart enough, then you obviously haven’t seen some of the people on these shows. Think about this…what would you’re dream life be like? Okay, now work your way back and figure out how you’re going to get there and what steps you can take TODAY to get there. If it something physical that costs money, put away a couple of bucks every day. If you save just $1.00 a day, in one year, you can buy an 8GB iPod touch at today’s prices. Just think, “what will get me there?” and then get out there and DO IT. Dreaming about it isn’t going to get you anywhere. Start NOW!

I couldn’t believe that I heard this in the TV  show Dr. 90210.  It really makes a lot of sense though.  Who cares how long you live if the whole time, you’re living in fear and never taking risks.  Live every day to the fullest and try to have experiences that always take your breath away for those are the times that truly matter.  If you never have an incredible experience in your life, was your life really worth it?  Its never too late to start.  You can have a breath-taking moment today.  So get out there and do it.  After all, you never know what the end result will be unless you take the steps to get there.

Don’t be afraid of giving your all into any relationship. Put 100% into it all the time. If you are constantly afraid of what an amazing relationship could turn into, you will never have that amazing relationship. If you’re not willing to project your true feelings to the person that you have those feelings for, then the person will never reciprocate for fear of rejection. Its the same reason you are afraid to express yourself fully. Can you get hurt? Of course you can. But wouldn’t you rather try and fail than to look back and wonder “what if?” If you constantly live with the fear that if you express you’re true feelings, you’re partner may not reciprocate, then you will always be waiting for someone else to tell you how they feel about you. Think about all the opportunities that have passed and will pass you by. That girl that you have a huge crush on. As long as its for the right reasons, go talk to her. That guy that you think might not be the best guy for you. You might be surprised once you actually talk to someone how different they are than you had originally perceived them to be. If you think about it, if you are rejected 10, 20, or even 100 times, that time that you have that great connection will be so much better than the sum of all the rejections. Put yourself out there and just go for it. If we always knew what was waiting for us at the end of the road, we would never have the excitement and anticipation that comes with the unknown.

Now, on to why I decided to start this blog.  I feel that there are so many people out there that need advice on love, dating, relationships, etc. and feel that the problem usually lies within the person.  It could be a lack of confidence, fear of failure, or any number of other issues that one might have inside them.  This applies to both men and women.  So the way I am going to structure these blogs is to open up with a quote, extract some deeper meaning, and go into how you can apply it in everyday life.  The name VitaSpiritus comes from the Latin words for live and spirit.  Enjoy.
